Sketch #138

Good weekend, everyone! It's time for sketch #138 and some fun news from Operation Write Home.

Where do I begin??? Ok, best news first: Hero Arts is a fantastic place that you can buy some really fun stamp sets. I love to collect them because they now have SIX stamp sets made just for OWH. That's right.. They have three new sets for us. Isn't it nice that 25% of the profit from the sale of these sets goes right back to support OWH. Now that's collaboration, people. :)

Here are a few links for you: first, sketch # 138. Which you will find today at Stars & Stamps.

Here is a card made with my favorite of the new sets:

I used a Kraft base and some CTMH colors for this one. I stamped and colored the cloud mat with Sky and colored the balloons with some of the new alcohol markers. I used Ruby, Sky and Creme Brûlée. Isn't this a cute set?

Speaking of cute, I have finally been able to box up another ~200 cards to send off to OWH. This box included some of my own cards and several donated by ladies from crops that I had over the summer. I also finished packing up over 50 "Any Hero" letters that were written by some young ladies at summer camp. They wrote letters for an activity one evening and they are all just darling. I had to take a photo of this one, because I love it:

More from Hero Arts to come... Meanwhile please stop by Stars & Stamps to see the other new stamp sets in action and join in the Birthday fun!

Oh, this card is colorful and fun! Thanks for sharing the new Hero Arts set. Their stamps always work for me. And I enjoyed reading that Any Hero card. Last week, I gave a Girl Scout leader the OWH link and told her about Any Hero cards. Love to share ;)

Great card, Nancy, and I love the embossing. Terrific coloring and I am still smiling at that adorable note from the young lady at camp. What a fabulous feeling one of our heroes will get when they see this one. It should make them extremely proud.
