Here is the latest news from Nancyland. . . I am terribly excited really to share the excitement that I have over a change in my job status. . . I have switched to a “perdiem” status at the hospital meaning that I will still get to enjoy working with my fantastic co-workers at EIRMC a few times a month on a “as needed” basis. I have ALSO started back part time with my great friends and mentor, Dr. Taylor at Southeast Idaho Urology. These are all good changes! But change is not always easy or swift. . . as I make this transition I also find myself at the beginning of a month which of course also includes EXPRESSIONS KITS from EXPRESS THE MOMENT. . . oh, my favorite time indeed!!!
So please excuse my slowness this month in sharing the February Expressions Kit . . . it’s packed full of paper goodness from the Echo Park “Be Mine” line and includes a bunch of really fun pre-folded card bases that Kim found AND ribbons from the ribbon store in Shelly that I have yet to explore on my own. . . .
Here are a few goodies that I have to share for this month… the first three cards were made following sketches from the Stars & Stamps blog. . . ETM ladies. . . if you haven’t picked up on these sketches yet, YOU REALLY WANT TO, I assure you!!! I will link up my cards to the sketch posts later this weekend when I get my blessed days off!!!
Here is a fun thing to do with baker’s twine and a few buttons. String those buttons together and leave the twine in one piece. . . adhere the buttons with glue dots. Fun and cute! I found an example of this button and twine technique idea in the latest issue of my Card Maker magazine. Fun, no?
Here is one of those neat pre-folded card bases. Simply cover the front and inside with some patterned paper and some sticker embellishments from the kit. Cut out some of the journaling cards and have your family members each write love notes on them. Slip the cards into the pocket as shown and voilla. . . a really fun Valentine gift for someone special.
Here is another fun pre-folded card base that you can use to hold photos, a small gift or gift card. . .I turned mine into a CD holder. Just stamp on a blank CD label to make it match the colors of the card. I think that this makes a fun Valentine for a man or a teen.
Loads of fun things are coming up for Express the Moment including a new website and a crop on the 19th. I hope to see a bunch of you locals at the crop and as always I hope that you all get the chance to check out the great kit values at ETM . . . please bear with me as I adjust to my new schedule. . . it IS going to be really nice once things settle into place! Hooray!
Thanks for stopping by!
