OWH - Die-Versions Bloghop!

Oh! I do love bloghop time! Thanks for joining me today. If you came here from Patti's Blog you are certainly headed the right direction! You may also start at the top over at Stars & Stamps!

I'm so excited to share my cards today that I made with the cute Die-Version's OWH dies. I used the cute "Me + You Forever" Sweet Phrases - DVPH-005. You can definitely pick this one up over at Die-Versions along with many, many other adorable things!

I love the hexagon shape - it goes so well with lots of other hexagon shape/patterned things that are so trendy right now. I used my die on white paper and mounted on a mat of black for the card above. The die cuts so cleanly that it left me some perfectly shaped letters from the "negative space." I used them to make a second card...

I also used some Darcie and ProvoCraft  Cuttlebug embossing folders today, and two cute little heart-shaped blings. Everybody loves heart-shaped bling, right? I do think that these dies make some really nice looking clean-and-simple cards.

...and now for a little prize time... leave me a comment and tell me which of the Die-Versions dies you have seen today that really caught your eye. I will pick a random comment-er and send you the "Happy B-Day" die shown here:

It is so darned cute but I didn't even have time to use it yet. So brand-new in the package, this die will come right to one lucky winner. (Don't forget to leave me a way to contact you!)  I'm happy to send this great fundraiser die to a good home! I'm also happy that you stopped by today. Hope you have a very fun hop!

Now hop on over to see what Anne has done with her Die-Versions dies! Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. The ones that are really catching my eye are the little ticket-shaped ones--so I WOULD LOVE TO WIN the Happy B-Day ticket die! Wow....Didn't realize I'd have a chance for that, too. These are great dies. I also really like the eagle one.

  21. I think the one that really caught my eye was the combat boot & helmet die. No, maybe it was the dog tags...no, the ticket dies. Oh dear, it's hard to decide. These dies are so specific to our OWH needs.

Thanks for suggesting using the letters from the original die. Great idea!

I REALLY enjoyed the blog hop!!! I was SO inspired and anxious to make many new cards.

Thank you Nancy, and the entire design team for all your hard work for our servicemen! I'm proud to participate.

  44. There are so many wonderful dies that it is hard to choose just one but your die of you + me 4 ever is so perfect for our military who leave loved sweethearts behind. And the fact that you can get two cards out of one pass in the machine is wonderful too. I like how you layered the black, the contrast is awesome. Well done!

  50. Oh my you do like to present a challenge don't you? I love the ticket dies, but the eagle is great...then there's the dog tags, the boots...as you can see I've got quite the list! But if there is one thing I know it's that you can't possibly have to many ways to say Happy Birthday! Great CAS cards for OWH. Thanks for the chance at the Happy B-day die.

I have to say I have seen a few favorite dies, I had already gone and looked at Die Versions and ordered a couple. Had looked at the boots/helmet one and the dog tags but was not really sure what to do with them. This hop has shown me the way! that is why I love hops!

  62. Very nice cards Nancy. red, white and black is such a striking color combo and a good combo for this sentiment... these could definitely go to either a guy or gal and would even make nice Anniversary cards. Thanks for participating in the hop and spreading the inspiration!

  63. Nancy, you are so smart to use the negative space letters to get a second card with one cut. i will definitely try that. Both of your cards are especially eye-catching in their bright color and simplicity. Just my style. :-) It is hard to choose the from the dies, but for some reason I am really drawn to the boots and helmet one. It is too cute. Nice work.

  64. Love the cards and the fact that the negatives are so tidy as to be used for another card. I love ALL the dies, the miss you, dog-tags, boots......lol

  70. Both of your cards are beautiful. I love how these dies give us a "two-fer" with the perfect letter cuts. I think my fave on this hop has been the Hero ticket (which I ordered) but that Happy B-day is great for anyone's birthday!. Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to win the die!

  73. I love CAS cards and the dies you used on your cards really stood out. Thanks for sharing. It is hard to pick just one die, because they are all so wonderful, but I am liking the bootprint more and more. rkscholz at yahoo dot com

  74. I've enjoyed seeing the boot prints used in some very creative ways but my faves are the hexagon and ticket-shaped sentiment dies so far - what a clever way to create a focal point out of a sentiment and with the cut outs to use on another card, like you did here - love it! aundriab76 at gmail dot com. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cards, for your support of OWH and for the chance to win this fun die!

  75. I would have to say the boots and helmet die along with the HERO die are my favorite so far. This HOP has been full of inspiration and creativity. Thanks for sharing both of your cards and the opportunity to win a die.

  77. Love both of your cards and the way you made a second card with the negative parts from the die, so cool. Both dies are great so it would be hard to choose, especially since I really like the idea of having words within a shaped die. :-)

  78. I love the clean and simple look on your cards, the color combo is great also.

  79. These are gorgeous! I really like how you used the leftovers to make a second card. Thanks so much for sharing!

  80. Nancy, I love how you used all the parts from the hexagon die. I am really enjoying seeing all the projects on the hop and love your thrifty idea of using the negative space on a second card! The one die that is at the top of my must have list is the thank you ticket. I need to make some TY cards and that die is just the ticket! heehee

  81. Love your CAS style and how you coordinated the shapes on the first. The second caught my attention bc you didn't use hearts; that would have been so predictable, but you used stars!! TFS!! My wallet is sobbing and has been since I saw the dies lol but I'm on the hunt for the "miss your face" that Sandy A used on her hexagon card! Love them all, though!
