Sketch Challenge #57

Top O The Mornin’ to ya! Are you going to be doing a little card making this week?  I was lucky enough to have a little scrap time with my card buddy Kirsten last night. We are a wee bit behind with the sketches, but wanted to follow this cute one, Sketch #57 from over at Stars & Stamps. Here is the sketch. . .

Rather than the 2” circle, we used some stamps that we have collected for the upcoming Day ‘O Green . . .

Just look at all of the lucky green and gold goodness. . . how fun!

If you are in need of some more inspiration this week, stop on by Stars & Stamps where you will find a tutorial for last weeks’ very cool idea by Pam from Airborne Wife Stamping. I haven’t had the time to try this one myself yet, but the example card and the ones posted by the S&S ladies are breathtaking! The technique is to stamp a flourish of some kind, add paper flowers, and then run the whole bit through an embossing folder. Add some brads and a sentiment. . . I am definitely going to have to try this one out later this week. Isn’t this beautiful?

Next Saturday is blog hop day for Operation Write Home. . . I can’t wait! I will definitely have some fun things to share and some blog candy too. My latest winners are helloholley and my friend from across the pond, Bronwen who both replied to the last post. . . it would be way too hard to pick just one, so I will be sending each of them a little goodie. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I am new so I wasn't sure what a sketch even was, but I just learned from you. I came here from 1 of your youtube tuts on tri-folds, been looking through all your tuts, housework be damned! LOL. I also a participant in the OWH Bunny Hop, but I am afraid my work pales in comparison to others. Like I said, I am new and barely have any papers or embellishments, but I will try! I have learned alot from you and love this card. I am now a follower.
